Introduction to the Bid Ask Spread Indicator
The Bid Ask Spread indicator is a useful gauge that displays the bid/ask spread in real-time for any currency pair.
In the top right corner of the chart, you will see three values displayed. The green one is ask price, the red one is bid price, the orange is the spread (difference between ask and bid prices).
Let’s look at the following example to understand that formula. On the chart shown above, the ask price is 1.30095, the bid price is 1.30075 and the spread is the difference between the ask/bid price, in this case, it is 2 full pips.
It fits all kinds of timeframes and currency pairs.
The default settings can be modified directly from the input tab. Feel free to experiment with the settings and parameters to fit your personal preferences.
How to set up the Bid Ask Spread indicator in MT4?
Copy and paste the Bid-Ask-Spread.ex4 or Bid-Ask-Spread.mq4 indicator files into the MQL4 folder of the Metatrader 4 trading platform.
You can gain access to this folder by clicking the top menu options, which goes as follows:
File > Open Data Folder > MQL4 > Indicators (paste here).
Now go to the left side of your MT4 terminal. In the Navigator find the gauge name, right-click it and select Attach to the chart.
